Position Summary

The School of Engineering is seeking one or more highlymotivated academic advisor to support our diverse and growing studentpopulation. Our preferred candidate is highly organized, self-motivated,detail-oriented, embraces a growth mindset, and excels at handling a range ofadvisory responsibilities across multiple degree programs. In this role, youwill have the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing essentialsupport to our assigned student cohort. Collaboration with the Senior AcademicAdvisor will be pivotal to ensure the holistic fulfillment of our students'needs. This position offers an entry into the world of academic advisement,engaging with prospective, current, and former students within our college. Theselected candidate(s) will advise on academic programs, changes, developacademic degree plans, and have the ability to develop their skills toeventually move into an Academic Advisor, Sr. position.

  • Provide guidance and assistance to a designated student group throughout their academic journey.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Academic Advisor to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Advise students on academic program details, recommended changes, and aid in the development of personalized degree plans.
  • Foster your own skill development to progress into the Senior Academic Advisor role.
  • Engage with prospective, current, and former students to address inquiries and provide accurate information.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; no previous experience required.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
