Position Summary | The Arts and Sciences Center for Academic Success is very excited to announce we are hiring. As an employee of this highly energetic and student oriented advisement center, you will be providing academic advisement to prospective and current students of the College of Arts and Sciences and the various departments served within. This is a very fast-paced environment where employees strive to give excellent professional consultation/advice within demanding time constraints and multiple locations. The selected candidate will be advising and assisting students in the development of academic plans and class schedules; evaluating documents for entry and exit from the College of Arts & Sciences; partnering with the student to implement tools and success strategies as they navigate the university system. Both face-to-face and group advisement sessions are paired with required paperwork to ensure progression and graduation for students within the desired time frame. These positions will require an understanding of student success resources campus wide. Advisors must be able to synthesize this with the specifics of departmental requirements and objectives and the overarching degree goals from the college level. The ideal candidate would possess strong advising, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and customer-service skills. This candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and working with a diverse student and staff population. This role requires technologically savvy, motivated individuals that have student success at the center of their career aspirations. |

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
