Position Summary
The UNM College of Pharmacy (COP) Office of Curricular Affairs seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to provide comprehensive administrative support for curriculum-related activities and educational initiatives. This role focuses on assisting with day-to-day operations for College of Pharmacy courses, Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE), and Nuclear Education Online (NEO) programs.

Ideal candidates are proactive in anticipating and addressing potential issues, follow instructions accurately, maintain clear communication, and work well within structured guidelines. This on-site position, responsible for assisting with the various logistical aspects of educational programs, requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

This position reports to the Sr Operations Manager, Office of Curricular Affairs and has the following general duties and responsibilities:
  • Course and Curriculum Support: Assist with course setup, including ensuring consistency in course content, maintenance, and timely posting of materials or other support as needed.
  • Technical Assistance: Assists with academic-related software programs, including Moodle/Canvas and CPE/NEO program software, Banner system, ExamSoft, SimIQ, and Enflux.
  • Documentation and Correspondence: Compose, prepare and maintain office documentation and forms, including policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and take and report out minutes for the Curricular Learning and Assessment Committee (CLAC) and other ad hoc committees.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with scheduling and reporting for courses and programs, (CPE/NEO), manage room reservations, exam schedules, and maintain accurate departmental records and databases.
  • Logistical Support: Manage office supplies, food orders, equipment, and facilities, ensuring that necessary resources are readily available.
  • Financial and Budget Assistance: Monitor accounting activities as appropriate, prepare internal management reports, and support budget planning and tracking as needed.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Support the Sr. Operations Manager in preparing assessment reports that summarize program outcomes and student performance including CPE and NEO programs.
  • General Support: Contribute to the overall success of the College by supporting other curricular-related programs as assigned, including CPE, NEO, and CPE Accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Experience supporting faculty and students in continuing education and higher education settings.
  • Familiarity with Banner, Moodle/Canvas, SimIQ, or similar higher education software.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in creating and supporting training sessions for stakeholders.
  • Ability to collect and present information in a clear and organized manner.
