Position Summary | ****THE BEST CONSIDERATON DATE HAS CHANGED TO 9/23/2024**** PLEASENOTE: This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM,approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. TheUniversity of New Mexico Gallup Branch, Office of the Director of BusinessOperations, invites applications for an Accountant 1, 2, or 3 (depending oneducation and experience). This position will work collaboratively with theDirector of Business Operations in, but not limited to, performing basic andadvanced accounting functions such as ledger/fund analysis, cost analysis, fundreconciliation, posting, and fiscal control of inventory. Analyzing andpreparing complex financial reports from standard operating statistics,financial data and/or projections. Investigating and resolving problems relatedto funds, budgets, expenditures, and/or procurement practices. Aiding in thedevelopment, implementation and maintenance of internal fiscal systems andprocedures, applying basic concepts, methods, and techniques. May serve asunit/area transaction initiator or requisitioner and as back-up for payrolltime entry and cashiering. Performing miscellaneous job-related duties asassigned. Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 9 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
