|Position Summary||UNM’s Facilities Management (FM) has agreat opportunity for an Accountant 2 to join our Utilities Division team. Thequalified candidate will perform advanced, multifaceted accounting and related functions in such areas asledger maintenance and analysis, cost and/or financial analysis, fundreconciliation, posting, and inventory control. Analyzes complex financial andoperating data and prepares management reports, financial statements, andprojections. |
Facilities Management isresponsible for the care and upkeep of the physical campus environment.Additionally, the department maintains the University’s district energy systemproviding electricity, steam, chilled water and domestic water through its owndistribution systems.

|Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
