Position SummaryThe University of New Mexico’s (UNM) Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) is seeking a driven, detail-oriented, problem-solving Accountant 2 to join our dynamic team of professionals who support the built environment at UNM. UNM’s PDC provides seamless delivery of professional support services to internal clients using best practices in capital project planning, development, and construction.

The Accountant 2 position is a temporary full-time position reporting directly to our Financial Officer. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

· Clean up project indices for PDC.
· Verify data in Unifier.
· Attach legal language for all appropriations in Unifier.
· Enter budgets in Unifier and Banner.
· Assist Financial Officer with day to day items.

This position will be critical in demonstrating accuracy and the ability to be detail oriented. The ideal candidate will be able to look at data in Unifier and Banner and determine what is missing and be able to reconcile between the two databases to ensure that Unifier is accurate after the data conversion.

Assignment Details:
· Days & Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
· Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
· Projected End Date: 3 months after start date.
· Parking Arrangements: Responsibility of the selected employee.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred QualificationsMust have prior reconciliation experience.
· Must be detail oriented.
· General accounting experience.
· Budget experience.
· Previous experience with working with Banner or Unifier.
