Position Summary

UNM Neurology in the UNM School of Medicine plays a critical role in improving the health of all New Mexicans. Our department is the Southwestern hub for advanced neurological diagnosis and patient care. We seek a dynamic individual to join our team as an Admin Assistant 2 to be a part of our important mission.

We seek someone with excellent customer service skills who can support the department faculty and staff including with IT/Equipment support and inventory, process improvement, special projects, and purchasing and reimbursements. Duties and responsibilities include:

  •       P-Card purchasing, reimbursements and support
  •        IT and equipment support, inventory and purchasing
  •       Assist department Faculty and Staff with special projects or requests
  •        Process improvement
  •       Scheduling via an electronic calendar and setting up video meetings and interviews
  •        Greeting and escorting visitors
  •        Assist with setting up events, conferences, and meetings
  •        Fulfill other administrative duties as assigned

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

 

·        Strong skills with software troubleshooting and setup, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with vendors and campus IT departments to assist with help tickets etc.

·        Strong skills using MS Office, Outlook Calendar, video conference software (i.e. Zoom, Teams, etc), and maintaining web content and online databases

·        Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports

·        Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments

·        Ability to analyze and solve problems

·        Experience with Chrome River, LoboMart, PowerChart and Faculty Success
