The University of New Mexico, Department of Neurology is seeking a highly motivated individual to join Clinical Services team as an Administrative Assistant 2. As a key member of the Department’s Administrative team, the ideal candidate will be seeking an opportunity to further their career at the University of New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) with a strong sense of customer service. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for supporting the clinic coordinator and Domenici Hall coverage.
Responsibilities of the position include:
1. Answering phones and navigating patients to the appropriate locations
2. Patient scheduling for clinic and research visits
3. Purchasing and reimbursements for Neurology Staff and Faculty (Clinical and Research)
4. Reception relief at Research Facility
5. Liaison between department and Epilepsy Lab
The incumbent will have the ability to foster a cooperative team based work environment and may provide assistance in the absence of the Clinic Coordinator.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
· Powerchart or EMR System
· P-Card/Lobomart experience
· Clinical/Research setting experience
