Position Summary | PLEASENOTE: This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM,approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. The University of NewMexico has established branch colleges to serve the citizens of New Mexico andto provide the highest quality of education for students pursuingpost-secondary education at different locations throughout the state. Branchcolleges respond specifically to the unique needs and multicultural backgroundsof their respective communities by offering community education programs,career education including certificate and associate degree programs, andtransfer programs that prepare students for upper division entry into collegesand universities. TheUNM-Gallup Division of Liberal Arts & Education is seeking a highlymotivated individual to work as the Division’s Administrative Assistant. Thisposition requires the employee to perform a variety of administrative and staffsupport duties that involve a range of skills and knowledge of organizationalpolicies and procedures. The Administrative Assistant is responsible forassisting and directing visitors, as well as resolving administrative problemsand inquiries. The Administrative Assistant also composes, edits, andproofreads correspondence and reports, with the ability to professionallyprepare a range of administrative documents. |

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
