Position SummaryPerforms a variety of administrative and staff supportduties for the Children's Campus department, which requires a range of skillsand a knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, programs, andphilosophy. Individuals will assist with staff and children's files, regulatoryrequirements, and accreditation requirements to remain in compliance with EarlyChildhood Education and Care Department requirements, Childcare Licensingregulations, and the National Association for the Education of Young ChildrenAccreditation criteria. This position also requires assisting and directingvisitors, staff, and families and providing support in resolving administrativeproblems and inquiries. Duties will include administrative support withcomposing, editing, and proofreading correspondence and reports, as well aspreparing a range of administrative documents relevant to department needs andevents.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Experience with FERPA Compliance
  • Experience with Children’s Campus policies and procedures
  • Experience with Children’s campus philosophy

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
Additional RequirementsThis position is located at the UNM Children's Campus; therefore, the successful candidate must pass a comprehensive post-offer, pre-employment criminal and Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) fingerprint background check, and must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
