Position Summary

The Anderson School of Management’s Executive and ProfessionalEducation Center (EPEC) is seeking an organized and detail orientedAdministrative Assistant to join our dynamic and highly collaborative team.EPEC is dedicated to developing business leaders who will thrive in acompetitive global environment. Provide support to EPECprograms including the noncredit offerings and academic programs. Our new colleague will possess excellentcommunication skills, both verbal and written, have superior people and problemsolving skills and loves learning.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee front desk operations,including ordering and stocking supplies, answering telephone calls and routingcallers to the appropriate staff person for resolution
  • Maintain strategic and tacticalcalendars
  • Creates, composes and/or editscorrespondence and documents required for general operation of the department,including faculty contracts and payroll documents
  • Scheduling of classrooms and building openings for the departmentprograms
  • Works collaboratively with team to prioritizeduties and tasks
  • Provide support for programs and events, including processingregistrations, compiling materials, and other administrative assistance
  • Research, compile data and generate reports as required
  • Assists in the development and management of policies andprocedures
  • Coordinates parking for students and guests
  • Ensures meeting minutes are taken anddistributed in a timely fashion
  • Oversee the maintenance of all officeequipment and inventory
  • Other duties as assigned

Conditions of Employment
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven administrative assistant experience
  • Highly evolved oral and written communication skills
  • Editing and proofreading expertise
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong skills in MS Office- The ability tobuild and develop Excel spreadsheets using formulas for research and expensetracking, advanced knowledge of Word to include mail merges, tables, etc. andproficient skills in MS PowerPoint
  • Experience in working with academic programsand policies
  • Experience with Banner and other UNM Systems
