Position SummaryThe Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

CDD’s HR Unit is recruiting a full-time Administrative Assistant 3 with very strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy to provide support for employment processes. This includes reviewing documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance with appropriate university systems policies and procedures.

This individual will perform technical tasks including drafting and editing of vacancy announcements, creating and monitoring requisitions for posting and preparing hiring requests. Works closely with supervisor to monitor and assist with the progression of recruitments. Serves as a resource providing guidelines on required paperwork, general information, and answers routine questions. This individual may also process and monitor day-to-day employment transactions, manage directories, maintain multiple filing systems and complex keying system.

  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
