Position Summary

The Center for Development andDisability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center forExcellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. Thesecenters, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill ofRights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to theneeds of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The successfulcandidate will support the Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities ProgramsDivision to provide services and comply with assigned duties to meet goalsfor the Deaf Blind project and the federal yearly Deaf-Blind census aswell as any other supports needed throughout the division. Thisposition will keep client databases current, compile and report to theNational Information Reporting System (NIRS), process financial documentsincluding billing for clients and travel reimbursements, set up contractors andvendors, assist in the creation and production of brochures and othermarketing materials, work with consumer employees, inventory/equipmentmanagement, coverage and support to the division professional staff andother related duties as needed.

  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Experience

  • In the computerized information system used in financial (LINK Banner) and or accounting applications and other UNM purchasing applications, p-card user.
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings for staff and/or families of clients, trainings and events, and/or other similar activities for supervisors, which may include coordinating travel and lodging arrangements.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and updating files, databases, records, and/or other documents, developing and maintaining data, and performing routine analysis and calculations in the processing of data for recurring internal reports.
  • Working as part of a team with diverse ethnic groups and people with disabilities.

UNM work experience.

Skill in use of Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Publisher.
