Position Summary

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families

The Administrative Assistant 3 will provide administrative support to the Autism Spectrum Evaluation Clinic with the Clinical Evaluation Services Unit at the CDD. The AA3 will function as part of a team to support clinic functions, scheduling in PowerChart, purchasing supplies and materials with a university purchasing card, travel reimbursement as well as other financial activities. The individual will perform data entry, running queries for internal reporting purposes and may assist with editing and proofing documents. The AA3 will support program billing and other clinic administrative duties. The AA3 will be energetic and not be afraid of hard work and a fast paced environment.

* Familiarity of diverse communities including those of individuals with developmental

disabilities, communities in need, and families with special needs children;

* Advanced coordination and organizational skills;

* Ability to be flexible while staying professional and positive in a changing environment.

  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Experience

  • Providing administrative support (especially scheduling) in a direct clinical service environment.

  • In the computerized information system used in financial (LINK BANNER) and or accounting applications, p-card user.

  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings for staff and/or families of clients, and events and/or other similar activities for supervisors, which may include coordinating travel and lodging arrangements.

  • With data entry, database and records management. Performing routine analysis and running queries for recurring internal reporting.

  • Working as part of a team with diverse ethnic groups and people with disabilities.

  • Working at UNM

Advance skill level using MS Office Suite.
