Upward Bound Program is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 who will serve as the main contact for this college preparatory program which provides personal, academic, and career counseling for 50 high school students. This program is a grant-funded position with current funding available through 08/31/2019. This individual will be the main contact for departmental support, coordinating the departmental functions and inquiries maintaining a variety of files and records monitoring, reconciling fiscal administration for the unit, including, but not limited to budgets, funding, grants, contracts, payroll, employment, travel, and/or purchasing for the department. The individual will maintain inventories for department assets, and product inventories associated with internal services. Other duties to include supervising work study employee/s assuring coverage at all times.
Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia county, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution.

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
