Position Summary | If you are seeking full time employment at the University of NewMexico, this is your opportunity to work with a dynamic team of faculty andstaff dedicated to the design disciplines. The School of Architecture and Planning is seeking applicants withstrong interest in supporting academic units. Primarily, the Administrative Assistant 3 will serve as SearchCoordinator and process hiring through UNMJobs or Banner for faculty, initiategraduate student contracts and process nonstandard payments to faculty. The Administrative Assistant 3 will report tothe Academic Operations Officer and will provide administrative support toAssociate Deans as needed. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of faculty hiringpolicies and procedures and an ability to problem solve and manage multipletasks. The Administrative Assistant 3 will work a regular 40 hour week duringUNM’s business hours. The School of Architecture and Planning is housed in George Pearl Halllocated on UNM’s main campus. This unique facility was designed byinternationally known architect, Antoine Predock. Conditions of Employment |

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications | Preferred Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of faculty hiring policies and procedures at UNM or other institution of higher education or community college; 2. Demonstration of professional demeanor, problem solving skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks; 3. Proficiency on computer including MS Office Suite, Zoom, Teams, UNMJobs and Banner; 4. Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills; 5. Experience working in an academic unit at UNM or other institution of higher education or community college; 6. Experience initiating graduate student contracts.
