The Department Pediatrics is recruiting for an outgoing, highly motivated professional to join the administrative area of the department as an Admin Assistant to the Department Chair. This person will work with both the Chair and Administrator of the department and interact with all aspects of Pediatrics. Pediatrics is a large department with over 500 faculty/staff/students in multiple locations and 18 centers/divisions.
The ideal candidate will be well organized, articulate, well focused, and creative, have excellent customer service skills and have a "can-do" attitude. The position requires someone with experience working in an environment utilizing analytical and problem solving skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities of this position include scheduling, and coordinating all meetings and events for Department Chair, handling multiple projects, interaction with faculty, staff and outside constituents, serving as primary point of administrative contact. This position will also be responsible for the department inventory, website, purchasing, travel and supplies leave time tracking/reporting as well as coordinating annual and promotion faculty reviews. Strong writing skills are also necessary as this position will create and edit letters, department newsletter and other documents as requested.

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
