Admin Assistant to Executive Director

The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a self-motivated, detailed oriented individual who will provide administrative support to an extremely busy Department Chair. Administrative support duties include maintaining multiple calendars, scheduling meetings, meeting notes and managing conflicts in schedules. The Administrative Assistant to the Chair is also responsible for scheduling annual faculty performance evaluations and updating confidential faculty files. Other duties assigned to this position include:
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with UNM procurement policies and procedures
- Experience working within an academic/clinical environment
- Experience supporting a Department Chair and/or Executive Leadership
- Knowledge of faculty policies and procedures
- Experience with complex scheduling
- Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
