The Office of the University Secretary (OUS) is seeking a dependable and reliable 1.0 FTE Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will help support a dynamic office. We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized, and collaborative individual who will function well as a team member. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and proven time management and computer skills. The selected individual will perform a variety of administrative duties.
The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of University Policies and Procedures; experience with Banner Finance; ability to obtain a P-Card; HR and/or UNM Jobs. The person will provide confidential secretarial and administrative support (agenda setting, taking meeting minutes, scheduling rooms, etc.) for assigned Faculty Senate Councils and Committees. The person should have experience coordinating large events. They will assist with the logistics, setup, and delivery of formal academic events such as University Commencement (Fall and Spring), Freshman Convocation (August), and University Presidential Inaugurations as they occur.
The person will coordinate special tasks, research, gathering of data, compile or prepare reports, ordering of supplies and materials as needed. Experience is needed working with high-level faculty, University Administrators, deans, parents, students, etc. Experience handling highly confidential materials. Must consistently provide excellent customer service. Produce quality work. Ability to switch priorities quickly. Other duties as assigned.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
