Position Summary

The Admissions Advisor determines admissibility, transferability of credit and residency for all new and readmitted undergraduate, non-degree and graduate students. The Admissions Advisor acts as a liaison with various constituencies including students, parents, high school and college officials, faculty, academic departments and colleges. The position utilizes computerized systems to communicate with students, process admissions, prepare reports, analyze data and assists with implementation of admissions-related policies and procedures.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions

Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records

Data Entry experience
