Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Athletics Marketing department seeks an Assistant Director of Marketing to join our team. This individual will lead marketing and revenue generation efforts for assigned UNM Athletics programs.

Duties & Responsibilities
Lead -
· Marketing & revenue generation efforts for assigned UNM Athletics programs
· Marketing & recruitment efforts for UNM Athletics department intern program
· Design & execution of promotion materials
Coordinate -
· UNM Athletics Send-A-Kid Program (football, men & women’s basketball)
· Annual Lobo Football Women’s Football Clinic
Assist with -
· Event coordination for football & basketball games
· Creation of digital content

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with collegiate athletics or professional sports-related events coordination.
  • Experience working in intercollegiate and/or professional sports marketing
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of colleagues, co-workers, and constituents
  • Strong computer background (i.e. PowerPoint, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge in composing and editing written materials
