| Position Summary | The Department of Computer Science in the School of Engineering at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We welcome candidates in all areas of computing, particularly those with expertise in quantum computing, theory and algorithms, or cybersecurity. UNM CS offers an ABET-accredited undergraduate program and MS and PhD programs. Our faculty teach core courses, develop advanced offerings in their areas, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students for careers in industry, research, and academia. The department is housed in the LEED Gold-certified Farris Engineering Center, which brings Computer Science together with Chemical and Biological Engineering and Nuclear Engineering. The building includes computational laboratories, research rooms, and spaces for student study, meetings, and collaboration. UNM is a Research 1: Very High Research Spending and Doctorate Production Institution and a federally designated Hispanic-Serving Institution.
