Position Summary

The Anderson School of Management at the University of NewMexico invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor tenure-trackfaculty position in the Department of Finance, International, TechnologyManagement and Entrepreneurship. The appointment begins no later than August2020. The successful candidate will teach finance courses in commercial bankingand/or financial institutions at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Theteaching load for this position, with a satisfactory research performance, istwo courses per semester (four courses per year).


The Anderson School is AACSB accredited. Itsmanagement programs enroll approximately 1,000 undergraduate students and 500graduate students. The School and the Department emphasize excellent learningexperience for students; this includes experiential learning, collaborativestudent interaction, active adult learning, team experience, and scholarshipthat draw upon a variety of pedagogic methods and subject areas.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Finance or related field by August 17, 2020. Current ABD candidateswill be considered
  • Evidenceof effective teaching
  • Anactive research agenda

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successfulpublication record or forthcoming research in Finance
  • Compatibilitywith current departmental teaching and research needs
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.

Applicants who are appointed to a UNM faculty position are required to provide an official certification of successful completion of all degree requirements prior to their initial employment with UNM.
