The Sport Administration program at theUniversity of New Mexico (UNM) invites applications for a for a full time,Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Sport Administration faculty position beginningin the fall of the 2020-2021 academic year.
UNM is the state’s flagship researchuniversity as well as a Hispanic-Serving Institution classified a CarnegieResearch University with Highest Research Activity. UNM also has strong connections with 23tribal sovereign nations located within New Mexico. As such, successful candidates must becommitted to working with broadly diverse student and community populations.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected towork collaboratively with program faculty and maintain an active researchagenda. The successful candidate will be expected to teachgraduate and undergraduate-level courses related to youth sports and may also berequired to teach other courses in Sport Administration. The successfulcandidate will advise master’s and doctoral-level graduate studentsspecializing in Sport Administration and will be expected to help meet theneeds for service on degree committees of Sport Administration. This person may supervise graduate-levelinternships and will maintain regular office hours (3-5 hours per week).
