| Position Summary | TheDepartment of Linguistics at the University of New Mexico invites applicationsfor a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Linguistics with a specialization inSigned Language Interpreting and a secondary specialization in ASL Linguisticsto begin in August 2026.This is a full-time position. Applicants must have PhD in Linguistics, SignedLanguage Interpreting, Educational Linguistics, Deaf Education, or a closelyrelated field by date of appointment.
