Position Summary

Assistant Professor of Experimental Art and Technology. Probationary appointment leading to a tenure decision. 1.0 FTE. The new faculty member will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise MFA students, and serve on graduate committees when requested. We are seeking a candidate who is technically proficient with specific interests and practice based in 3D printing and interactive installation.

The Department of Art offers the B.A., B.F.A., M.A., M.F.A., and Ph.D. degrees. ? M.F.A. in Studio Art with emphasis in New Genres, Electronic Art, New Media or related fields.

? Active exhibition record and new creative work utilizing experimental approaches to technology within the last 3 years.

? One year university-level teaching experience as instructor of record.


? Expertise with fine art applications for digital 3D modeling, scanning, and printing.

? Experience using coding environments like Processing, MaxMSP, Touch Designer, Javascript, Python in the production of creative works.

? Ability to provide mentorship to graduate students across disciplines.

? Excellent communication skills and an interest in collaboration.
