Position Summary


UNM Neurology seeks a .25FTE Neuro-Psychologist to join our Movement Disorder Team. The position will be part of a team offaculty providing quality patient care in the outpatient setting at theComprehensive Movement Disorder Center (CMDC).

Clinical responsibilitiesinclude the following:

  • Perform neuro-psychologicalevaluations and interventions for Movement Disorder patients.
  • Precept a neuro-psychology trainee

Non-clinicalresponsibilities include the following:

  • Participate in research activitiesinvolving neuro imaging, cognitive assessment, and outreach activities

UNMHospital is the tertiary care center for the State and the only NAEC level 4epilepsy center, and ALS / MDA center and comprehensive movement disordercenter in the State. The UNM NeurologyDepartment has 30 plus full-time and part-time attending physicians and is hometo well-established Residency and multiple Fellowship programs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology
  • Completion of a PostdoctoralFellowship in Neuropsychology
  • Clinical experience inneurodegenerative disease
  • Board certified/eligible in ClinicalNeuropsychology
  • Eligible for Medical license in thestate of New Mexico
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience as a ClinicalNeuropsychologist
  • Participation in neurodegenerativedisease research
  • A demonstrated commitment todiversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working withbroadly diverse communities
