Position Summary | The Department of Neurology at the University of New Mexico is recruiting for an Assistant Professor, Flex Track, Cerebrovascular Specialist. UNM Medical School is the only accredited Stroke Center in the State. The individual needs to be trained in Neurology with fellowship training in Vascular Neurology. Teaching and administrative skills are necessary. The Department of Neurology is seeking a qualified Cerebrovascular Specialist. The successful candidate will join other faculty in providing quality patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting at UNM Hospital. Clinical responsibilities include direct patient care in busy clinical settings, ward and consult attending supervision of residents, fellows and medical students and midlevel providers. Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and research activities of the department. Based on qualifications leadership opportunities may be available. Albuquerque, NM is a beautiful city with 300 days a year of sun-drenched and picturesque mountain views.
