| Position Summary | Supports the strategic fundraising efforts of the University of New Mexico athletics department and the Lobo Club by assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of fundraising programs targeting donors. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to planning and implementing key special events, gift-in-kind program management, marketing and communications, fundraising efforts for the Lobo Scholarship Fund and donor stewardship. | Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
| Preferred Qualifications | · Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. · Well-versed on the use of top social media platforms. · Experience working on social media marketing and an awareness of different social media platforms and the content that should go on each of them. · Skill in the planning and execution of large-scale fundraising events. · Well-organized and competent in vendor management. · Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. · Database and records management skills. · Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups. · Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community. · Ability to conduct research, gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports and other materials. · Ability to exercise good judgment, to demonstrate an understanding of ethics related to development activities, and to use discretion in interactions with donors, prospects, volunteers, and others. · Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment. · Ability to plan, organize and coordinate activities and special events. · Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects in area of expertise. |
