Position Summary

The University of New Mexico’s Office of the Registrar seeks an experienced professional for the position of Associate Registrar to join a vibrant team in pursuit of student success.

The position directs daily operations of the Office of the Registrar to include maintenance of student enrollment records and transcripts, organization of registration procedures and graduation services. We are seeking a team builder and program visionary with excellent communication skills and the ability to create collaborative teams while building consensus. In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong technical Banner skills and the application of technology to deliver records and registration services and experience working with a variety of computer applications and data systems used in records office.

This position involves primarily at-a-distance interactions with faculty, staff and students and requires strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills. The Associate Registrar exercises independent judgment in interpreting academic policy, as well as handling sensitive and confidential information in accordance with federal regulations.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

-Demonstrated Experience with Banner
-Advanced and extensive knowledge ofRecords & Registration processes & technologies
-Previous experience working in a teamenvironment
-Previous experience reviewing policy,records, and processes and responding to sometimes sensitive inquiries/disputes
