Position Summary

Oversees the construction, placement, and rigging of stage scenery for theatrical productions. Performs general maintenance and upkeep of shop machinery and tools, helps plan and organize construction projects, and instructs and supervises student employees and/or lower-level staff in construction of theatre scenery.

Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with theatrical woodworking machines such as CNC routers

  • Welding Experience

  • Rigging Experience
