UNM’s Facilities Management-Automotive has anexciting opportunity for an Auto Tech. This is a great entry-level opportunityfor a highly motivated individual with a professional manner. The Auto Tech is responsiblefor performing and/or assisting inthe performance of a variety of routine to moderately complex maintenance andrepairs on university automobiles, trucks, and related heavy mechanicalequipment. Typically works in a motor pool environment and may be required tooccasionally work outside.
FM-Automotive isan award winning, full service, vehicle maintenance and repair facilityresponsible for the safe operation of UNM’s 700 plus vehicle fleet. Inaddition, the Automotive Center manages the University’s fueling station andCNG (Compressed Natural Gas) station. The Center’s highly trained and dedicatedstaff has over 130 years of experience. This training and experience ensuresthat the University’s fleet of vehicles are safe and dependable.

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
High school diploma or GED; successful completion of PPD Trades Training Program and at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
