Position SummaryProvides personal, equipment, and real property security for faculty, staff, students, and visitors within an assigned area of the University campus. Provides escort services, and other basic public assistance services as needed, and performs routine security and public safety patrol duties within assigned area. Remains alert to emergency situations and provides first-line reponse, emergency management, and/or referral if required.

Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Possession of a valid UNM driver's license is required to operate a State vehicle.
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; no previous experience required.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
