Position Summary

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

CDD is seeking front-line staff for an outpatient, interdisciplinary specialty clinic. The ideal candidate would have patient or customer service experience, with strong oral and written communication skills. Spanish/Bilingual speaking skills preferred. This individual will perform clinical administrative duties including patient registration and clinical billing tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated patient or customer service skills in a clinical setting with experience handling private information and maintaining confidentiality
  • Computer and software skills, with demonstrated ability to learn new software programs
  • Knowledge of medical records management and billing procedures
  • Bilingual - fluent Spanish speaker
  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
