The Divisionof Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicineis seeking Part-time .20 FTE Clinical Research Associate. This position will manage quality controlsand the execution of clinical protocol and data management for a number ofclinical trials at multiple sites, ensuring compliance with all regulatory andcontractual requirements. They will establish and maintain sound clinical anddata collection practices to ensure validity of studies. This position willmonitor the conduct and progress of the studies to ensure compliance withestablished protocols, appropriate research methodology, and study timelines. Theywill participate in protocol development, site/investigator selection, studyinitiation and termination activities. In addition, they will develop andcomplete final study reports.

Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of or ability to obtain certification as a Clinical Research Associate may be a requirement for some positions in this classification.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experiencein developing, maintaining, and managing databases and tracking systems
  • Experiencein managing study data reporting and measurement
  • High-levelof experience in leading regulatory support for multiple studies with multipleIRBs, including but not limited to UNM HSC, SW Tribal IRB, and Navajo NationIRB
  • Experiencein the Project Management of research activities
