Position Summary | This posting iscurrently recruiting applicants for Clinical Teaching Associate(CTA). This is an On-Call position and is not benefits eligible. CTAs are alsoused in activities during which students/clinicians are learning to operate newequipment that involves sensitive and invasive exams (such as a trans-vaginalultrasound). Under directsupervision, assumes the role of a clinical teaching associate during sensitiveor invasive medical examinations. These examinations are designed to enableexperiential learning and/or assessment of health sciences students' skills.Work is on an on-call basis, as needed. Base pay is $15an hour, plus $164 an hour for time spent on an exam table doing an invasiveprocedure. To be a CTA, anindividual must be very comfortable with their body, be at ease in small groupsettings, be able to freely discuss their anatomy and be able to clearly conveyinformation to the student in a sincere and professional manner. In addition,female CTAs must have their uterus, cervix, at least one ovary and at least onebreast, and male CTAs must have a least one testicle and no recent rectalsurgery. Minimum Qualifications | Less than high school; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
