Position Summary | The UNM Department of Psychiatryand Behavioral Sciences, Division of Community Behavioral Health (CBH) isseeking a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. The mission of CBH is to address health care disparities through: health services research andevaluation; capacity building; training and workforce development; and throughincreasing access to quality behavioral health services that are holistic,cost-effective and provided with respect to unique cultures and communities. The Division of CommunityBehavioral Health (CBH), within the broader Department of Psychiatry, isseeking a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic multi-disciplinaryteam. The mission of CBH is to address behavioral health care disparities through: health services research and evaluation; training and workforce development; and through increasing access to quality behavioral healthservices that are holistic, cost-effective and provided with respect to uniquecultures and communities. CBH is seeking an on-callCommunity-Based Research Specialist to serve on two projects designed toimprove community-based mental health services and treatment across New Mexico in culturally relevant ways. Duties include, but are not limited to:assisting with project implementation, consenting, screening and assessment;data collection, data entry and quality assurance; assisting with databasecreation and maintenance; conducting fidelity assessments; regulatory and othercompliance reporting requirements as needed. This position may also facilitateand coordinate trainings, and participate in grant writing and publicationdevelopment. The qualified candidate should be comfortable working in a variety of settings (conducting interviews in clinics, public buildings, telehealth, etc.). This position requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to workefficiently and accurately with data across various programs. This position requires a commitment to helping other sand a high level of compassion, empathy and self-awareness; a knowledge of behavioral health issuesand resources available to communities; a collaborative nature to work with amultidisciplinary team; resourcefulness, responsiveness and flexibility; andsuperb organizational and communication/ relationship building skills. This is an on-call position based in Albuquerque, NM. This position is not eligible for benefits. This position will requirelimited travel within New Mexico. |

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
