Position SummaryPlans, develops, and implements strategies for controlling risk exposure related to compliance for the university. Provides guidance and expert interpretation of policy and procedures to ensure that the requirements for an effective compliance program at the university are met; provides training to members of the university community in accordance with applicable policies and procedures to minimize legal liability. As appropriate, analyzes current compliance legislation and regulations that impact higher education; keeps updated on current and relevant topics regarding compliance. May collect information on compliance claims of varying degrees of difficulty; may conduct investigations, negotiate corrective action settlements, and develop and prepare narrative reports.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and follow NMDOT NMAC rules for
Transportation Safety programs: NM Traffic laws, NM Uniform Licensing
Act, NM Driving School Licensing Act, NM State Statues, TSD policies and
procedures, and Federal regulations.

Knowledge of and ability to understand and follow MVD rules, policies,
procedures and violation codes; NM Court systems and reporting; NM
Taxation and Revenue rules for NM businesses and PRC regulations for
insurance.
