Position Summary | Under general supervision, the candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Introductory Biology Lab Prep area, including overseeing the management and operation of equipment, and supplies. This will entail making and stocking biological chemicals and solutions, maintaining live cultures, helping in the development and implementation of new labs and demonstrations, and prepping and tearing down laboratory exercises for multiple lab sections. The candidate will be expected to maintain precise records and a computerized database of inventory, assist in training and supervising staff/student employees who work or volunteer in the Introductory Biology Lab Prep area, and observe and practice all safety, environmental, and biohazard control standards. Candidate should be able to teach an introductory lab or discussion at a moment's notice. |

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
