Position Summary

The Obstetrics & Gynecology Research Division is in needof a 1.0 FTE Research Coordinator position. The Research Coordinator positionwill exist in order to support funded research projects within the departmentof Ob/Gyn. This position will assist in the coordination and administration ofdaily research activities and ensure that study protocols and regulatoryrequirements are compliant. This position will be involved in the recruitmentand coordination of research subjects for multiple research grants, primarilyin Maternal Fetal Medicine and will serve as the lead coordinator for theseprojects. This person will assist in managing Human Research Protection Office(HRPO) study submissions and modifications and serve as a liaison with the HRPOstaff. The Research Coordinator will maintain recordkeeping systems, patientschedules and appointments and be involved in data collection and management.

This position requires strong interpersonal andcommunication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of organizationsin a diverse community.  It will require,skills in organizing resources, multi-tasking and establishing priorities.  It will require the ability to analyze,develop, establish and maintain efficient office work flow and administrativeprocesses.

Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Additional health screenings may be required, dependent on the nature of the research conducted, as determined by Employee Occupational Health Services.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish Speaker
  • At least one-year direct experience
  • CITI Training
  • Knowledge and experience with REDCap
  • Knowledge of UNM IRB, experience with IRB submission
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with patients, clinic faculty and community partners
  • Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
