Position Summary

Accountable for the coordination of the credentialing and privileging for medical providers (physicians, professional staff, and network practitioners) practicing within the UNM Health System. Process applications and reappointments online, checking for completeness and accuracy. Collect and verify education, training, experience, and licensure while maintaining credentialing database. Further research as necessary. Point of contact to medical providers, credentialing enrollment liaisons, and entity medical staff offices. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and standards.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Database management skills, Cactus credentialing database preferred
  • Experience in CVO, hospital or managed care credentialing
  • Detail oriented, organized, and critical thinker
  • Ability to handle high volume, detail oriented, and organized
  • Knowledge of TJC and NCQA standards preferred
