The University of New Mexico is looking for enthusiasticindividuals to join our Custodial Services team for the 4:00 AM - 12:30 PMshift, Monday through Friday, with opportunities available in both UNM HealthSciences Center (HSC) Facilities Management Custodial and Main CampusFacilities Management Custodial.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Custodian, you will: Perform general custodial dutiesincluding dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and restroom cleaning. Restock paper andsoap supplies and empty trash receptacles. Operate custodial equipment and performroutine maintenance on tools and supplies. Unlock and secure doors as neededduring cleaning. Report maintenance needs and supply levels to supervisors.Promote safety and environmental best practices in all tasks. Assist intraining new custodial staff on standard procedures. Perform seasonal orproject-based cleaning tasks as assigned. Provide access to vendors and reportany issues to supervisors. Assist with snow removal and minor maintenance taskssuch as replacing light bulbs or adjusting furniture. Perform other job-relatedduties as assigned.

Responsabilidades Clave:

Como Custodio, deberás:

  • Realizar tareas generales de limpieza, incluyendodesempolvar, trapear, aspirar y limpiar baños.
  • Reabastecer suministros de papel y jabón, y vaciar losrecipientes de basura.
  • Operar equipos de limpieza y realizar mantenimientorutinario de herramientas y suministros.
  • Abrir y asegurar puertas según sea necesario durante lalimpieza.
  • Informar a los supervisores sobre necesidades demantenimiento y niveles de suministros.
  • Promover prácticas seguras y ecológicas en todas las tareas.
  • Ayudar en la capacitación del nuevo personal de limpieza enlos procedimientos estándar.
  • Realizar tareas de limpieza estacional o por proyectos segúnse asignen.
  • Proporcionar acceso a proveedores y reportar cualquierproblema a los supervisores.
  • Ayudar con la remoción de nieve y tareas menores demantenimiento como reemplazo de bombillas o ajuste de muebles.
  • Realizar otras tareas relacionadas con el puesto según seasignen.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Less than high school; no previous experience required.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
