Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Manager to oversee the development and use of our database. You will discover efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality. This position requires the Data Manager to fully grasp the complexity of data management and programming. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. You will also be tech-savvy and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming experience (3+ years)
  • Front end and back end development
  • SQL experience (for queries)
  • Ability to create queries and reports from large data sets
  • Ability to interpret data and trends
  • Advanced MS Access experience
  • C# programming language experience (for the reminder app development)
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio IDE (for developing the reminder app)
  • JAVA
  • VB programming language experience (for MS Access database features)
  • AAS Computer Information Systems
  • Knowledge of UNM IT and UNM Help Desk
