Position Summary | The Department of Art invites applications for the position ofDepartment Administrator A2. We areseeking an individual who is professional, energetic, and self-motivated. We are a large, multi-faceted department withover 300 undergraduate majors and an average of 90-100 graduate students. The Department offers a PhD program, threeMaster's, four Bachelor's programs, and a licensure program, with over 40full-time faculty, 20 adjunct faculty, and 11 staff members. Variousprograms of the department are ranked nationally and internationally. We are housed in fourbuildings, with numerous classrooms, labs, and faculty and administrativeoffices as well as grad studios and two galleries. The Department Administrator oversees andmanages all fiscal and budgetary activities of the department. Funds managed include instructional andgeneral operating, course and tech fees, grants and overhead, and non-endowed andendowed spending. In addition, thisindividual manages and oversees all administrative functions of the department,including HR activities and acts as building manager for our facilities. Finally, this person must have the ability todevelop operating policies and procedures in collaboration with the Chair andimplement short and long-range goals. The Department Administrator will participate with the Chair and senior departmental faculty instrategic and operational decision making as a member of the department'sleadership team. |

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 3 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
