Position SummaryUNM Health Sciences is seekinga .75 FTE Education and Development Manager to manage the pre-health pipeline andpathway operations of the UNM Health Sciences Center Rio Rancho Campus(HSRR).The campus consists of over 200 acres and currently hosts SRMC, The Center ofExcellence for Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation, and the original "buildingone." The HSRR Campus is a unique, comfortable, and welcoming space andculture. Current programs in Building One include UNM College of Nursing, anoutpatient behavioral health clinic, the Pre-Health Scholars Certificate, and aunique collaboration with CNM for a Medical Assistant certification program.

The academic focus of the HSRRcampus includes pipeline and pathway outreach and programming for high school,undergraduate, and post-graduate students. Current efforts include outreach tothe rural, tribal and urban areas of Sandoval County. The Program Manager willwork closely with HSRR leadership to manage the implementation and operationsof the existing programs, as well as contribute to the development of newprogramming. This position will involve collaborating and buildingrelationships with UNMHSC programs and community members.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

* Familiarity with theprocesses involved in applying to academic health programs
* Experience and ability tomanage pre-health programs
* Knowledge of health careersand the pathways to the careers
* Skill in organizing resourcesand establishing priorities
* Experience buildingcollaborations for the purpose of developing and implementing programs
* Strong written and verbalcommunication skills
* Experience and skills in mentoring
* Ability to successfully workindependently and as part of a team
* Knowledge in data collectionand analysis of program effectiveness
* Assist leadership indeveloping creative new programs to meet community and workforce needs
* Experience and ability todraft grant applications and manage grant programs including reporting requirements
