The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
CDD's Family Community Partnership Division has an Education Specialist opening in their School to Work Transition program. This position will develop and facilitate training and technical assistance to professionals serving youth with disabilities who are in transition from school to employment in New Mexico. The position will design and conduct adult learning classes, trainings, workshops and develop and present at conference events to school personnel, employment professionals working in the field. The position will develop training curriculum and training materials as well as design outreach and promotional materials for dissemination.
Regular statewide travel is required in this job, the selected candidate will need to maintain a valid Driver's license.

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
