  • TheUniversity of New Mexico’s Continuing Education Department is seeking anEnrollment Services Representative to join our team and assist with theday-to-day operations and transactions in the Registration Office.     Asan Enrollment Services Representative you will be responsible for welcoming andassisting large volumes of customers and students in person, over the phone,and through email. You are a natural problem solver and can troubleshoot issueswhile adhering to the policies and guidelines. You enjoy being in a busy, active environment and have an extremeattention to detail. You consider yourself a patient "people person," enjoycollaborating with team members, and are comfortable interacting with a diversepopulation.


    Thisposition requires working in the office full time, as well as having theability to work remotely as required.

    Dutiesand Responsibilities include:
  • Provide general information to UNMCE customers regarding a large variety of programs.
  • Assist customers with their registration, cancellation, and/or refund.
  • Sustain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every customer, instructor, and vendor.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and changes in company policies.
  • Work with a collaborative team problem solving, and turning frustrated clients into repeat customers, while making a positive impact on our bottom line.
  • Handle cash, check, and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain general administrative/office duties.
  • Run reports and review data for entry level data analysis.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven effective customer service skills with a knack for turning a negative customer experience into a positive one!
  • Commitment to continuous and efficient quality improvement.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Ability to resolve customer problems fairly and quickly while demonstrating empathy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe.
  • Database experience a plus.
  • Proven track record of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Resourceful abilities to plan, develop, coordinate, and complete multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
  • Experienced working collaboratively with coworkers and teams.
  • Demonstrated success in self-motivation, with the ability to learn quickly.
