The University of New Mexico’s Continuing Education Department is seeking an Enrollment Services Representative to join our team to assist with the day-to-day operations and transactions in the Registration Office. The mission of UNM Continuing Education is to lead and collaborate with the community and within the University to develop concepts, strategies and delivery systems which generate relevant lifelong learning opportunities for a diverse, evolving society. UNM Continuing Education is seeking an Enrollment Services Representative to assist with the day-to-day operations and transactions in the Registration Office. This position will provide general information relating to the UNM Continuing Education Catalog and enrollment services to students, customers and the community. The position includes cash handling, processing special course fees, tuition remission, and refund processing. The Enrollment Services Representative will be responsible for welcoming and assisting large volumes of customers and students in person, over the phone, and through email. The ideal candidate is a natural problem solver and can trouble shoot problems while adhering to the University policies and guidelines. Multi-tasking is second nature to the Enrollment Services Representative, with an attention to detail and strong customer service skills, this individual can confidently interact with a diverse population.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
* Strong customer service skills
* Commitment to continuous quality improvement
* Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) preferred
* Ability to resolve customer problems fairly
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of registration process a plus
* Knowledge of University policies and procedures pertaining to student admissions, records management, FERPA, tuition remission and cash handling
