Position Summary

The UNM School of Law seeks an experienced Facilities Coordinator to work for 30 hours a week for the weekday shift.

This position:

  • Coordinates the maintenance of the School of Law (Bratton Hall) building and serves as backup for the Law Library Facilities Coordinator
  • Identifies, assesses, and resolves maintenance, custodial, and building repair issues by working with UNM Facilities Management
  • Coordinates with the Evening/Weekend Facilities Coordinator.
  • Works closely with the Law School’s main receptionist on scheduling of classrooms for classes and other functions.
  • Serves as liaison between facility operations and UNM Facilities Mgmt.
  • Coordinates issuance of keys and building security; maintains records.
  • Attends UNM Building Coordinator meetings as required and gathers data distributed by Campus Safety/other University organizations.
  • Gathers and distributes informative information to faculty, staff and students.
  • Demonstrates skill in building security and lock procedures. Ability to communicate
  • This position is Benefit Eligible, and eligible for UNM's tuition remission for classes at UNM, NMSU, UNM Continuing Education and/or UNM departments for Professional Development.

Tuition Remission


The Tuition Remission program provides a waiver of tuition for:

  • Up to eight (8) undergraduate or graduate credit hours or the equivalent of eight undergraduate credit hours for non-credit courses each fall and spring semester
  • Up to four (4) credit hours during the summer semester
  • Mandatory fees are covered (special or lab fees are not covered)


Tuition Remission can be used for classes at:

  • The University of New Mexico
  • New Mexico State University
  • UNM Continuing Education and/or UNM departments for professional development

Assignment Details:

Days & Hours: Tuesday - Saturday with 1 hr. lunch.

· Tues/Wed/Thur: 1:30 - 8:30 pm

· Friday: 1:30 - 6:30 pm

· Saturday: 9:30 am - 6:30pm

· Pay Rate: $12.00-$13.25

Anticipated Start Date: 3/14/20

Projected End Date: 1 year from date of hire, Temp to Permanent is possible - based on performance.

Parking Arrangements: Responsibility of the selected employee

UNMTemps provides staffing solutions to UNM departments requesting temporary employees as positions become available due to a vacancy, when regular employees are absent, for peak work periods, and for special events. As such, UNMTemps assignments/positions may end with little or no advance notice.

Conditions of Employment
  • A valid New Mexico driver's license will be required if a motor vehicle must be operated on the job.
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
