Position Summary

The UNM Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking an experienced Faculty Services Rep, a team player demonstrating a keen eye for detail, who is very organized and personable. The Faculty Service Rep isresponsible for administering, developing, and managing programs that supportfaculty endeavors within the Department of Psychiatry & BehavioralSciences. Responsibilities include faculty hiring, contracting, promotion andtenure, leave and retirement, as well as handling sensitive inquiries and humanresource functions. They will administer all aspectsof faculty recruitment, onboarding, orientation, contract processing, credentialing,evaluations, and the generation of new and revised contracts. Position willprovide advice and guidance to faculty and administrative staff on a wide rangeof faculty hiring and faculty HR matters.
Jobduties to include:

  • Manage hiring and recruitment; advertise and post positions, coordinateapplicant evaluations/interviews with search committees, oversee offer letters and onboarding fornew faculty
  • Track applicant progress through the recruitment and onboarding workflowand provide support and feedback as required
  • Advise faculty on promotion and tenure regulations andprocedures; Coordinate and review promotion dossiers
  • Manage and process new and revised faculty contracts and annualperformance reviews
  • Advise faculty on leave and retirement policies andprocedures
  • Address confidential and sensitive inquiries related tofaculty and department and school administration
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of and compliance withall related policies, procedures, laws, and regulations

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of UNM HSC, state, and federal HR policies
  • Expertise in faculty affairs, recruitment, and employeerelations
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft suite applications (specifically Outlook, Access, Excel) andSmartSheet
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and advisorycapabilities
  • Experiencehandling multiple, competing priorities, and ensuring timely completion ofproject deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability tohandle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
